Movement Day 16: Core 

 

We're one day removed from fitness test two! Adherence to movement brings its inherent benefits. You may notice that your endurance is better or that your breathing is easier or that you are a little stronger. 

 

These are things to be celebrated. Fitness is not all about looking like a fitness model or being "perfect". It is about achieving little milestones and cultivating good habits through consistency. 

 

If you have reached this far, you should commend yourself... and then do the following...

Warm Up & Stretch

 

Complete the following movements in the following TABATA styles before moving on to the next movement:

  • 40 seconds work: 20 seconds rest

  • 30:20

  • 20:10

  • 20:10

 

Exercise 1: Mountain Climber to Airplane Bank Combo

**complete two pairs of mountain climbers (video) followed by one pair of airplane banks (video) then repeat for allotted time

 

Exercise 2: Alternating Half Get Ups

**switch hands each rep

Exercise 3: Side Plank Bridge (Left side)

**From the side plank position on your forearm (video) lower your hips towards the ground and return to original position in a controlled manner

 

Exercise 4: Side Plank Bridge (Right side)

**From the side plank position on your forearm (video) lower your hips towards the ground and return to original position in a controlled manner
