COMBO MOVEMENTS = SUM OF BASIC MOVEMENTS

...at least that's the way I aim to break them down


In order to be strong at combo movements, strengthening the basics is a precursor. By movement basics I'm referring to natural movements such as the squat, hinge (e.g. good morning in video below), vertical press, horizontal press, jumps among others



More complicated movements such as the clean and press rely on practice and progress of the good morning to the deadlift and the vertical press.



So when stepping up to combo or more complicated movements, break them down, practice, improve, load them gradually and then eventually the movement flow will be enhanced
